ATTACK OF THE GIANT SEA BABY!!!!!

It was a peaceful day in bathtub land until the Fisher and Price people felt the WAVES...Was it a boat?  Was it a storm?  No!
IT WAS THE ATTACK OF THE GIANT SEA BABY!!!

In desperation, the Fisher and Price people called upon the help of their underwater friends, the Flying Fighter Fish (cue sound effects: aqua laser sounds and water canon shots).
Simply annoyed, the Giant Sea Baby retaliated by trying to eat the Fisher and Price's sea turtle so they summoned the greater fighting power of...
THEIR RAIN MACHINE (hahaha/evil laugh)!!!
But, the Giant Sea Baby got the final laugh by employing the powers of the POO MACHINE!!! (enlarge picture to appreciate the full fire power of the Poo Machine)  DUN, DUN, DUNNNNN (sound of impending doom)....to be continued with the daily saga of bathtub land...

As narrated by Dustin.  Original transcript composed by Dustin during bath time on Friday November 26, 2010.

Bliss

Mikayla down to bed at 5:20 last night and woke up at 7:30 this morning, ate her bottle and back to bed at 7:53.  Up for the day at 9.  That's pure bliss.

Holiday fluff and other stuff...

We don't exactly have a house to decorate at the time being, but at least we can dress Mikayla up in fancy dresses for the holidays!  Thanks to Nanny Jill for this amazing find!
We are out of town right now and I don't have many pictures on my camera, but here are a few for now.  On Saturday we went up to the Mesa Temple for my cousin's wedding and had a fun time with family.  My cousin had an ice cream bar for her reception with homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches.  What's not to like? :)
 Maren and her fiancĂ©, Jake
Dustin leaned over to pick up Mikayla and ripped his pants (that had already been repaired once with bright teal thread)...hence the kid in the dad's jacket picture.
Family picture taken while trying to hide in the shade of a palm tree...only in AZ!

 Wilson family picture...
Lastly, a picture capturing Mikayla's first experience with a PB&J sandwich and it rocked her little world.  She's definitely my kiddo.

Nature vs. Nuture?

You sit a 9 month-old baby down and give her Lucky Charms, which she has never tried before.  She immediately picks out all the marshmallows and eats them first.  I know color is a factor here, but still!

It's a Real Bug's Life!

Before we get talking about the bug situation at the Hancock house, here is the main attraction of our Halloween festivities, brought to you straight from Peter Pan.  The Hancock cousins dressed up as Tinkerbell, Peter Pan and Captain Hook and were SO cute!

Tinkerbell (her attitude is pretty close to the same as Tinkerbell's and all!):
Captain Hook:
And, of course, Peter Pan himself:
See...I told you they were cute (smile-less pictures and all)!

On to the pests...Our 2nd Unofficial Annual Hancock Sibling Halloween Party was on Saturday.  We crammed it in after the Trunk-or-Treat and all the kiddos were asleep.  It was a blast, even if it was a little less planned than the last go around!  We played all sorts of games that are only fun late at night when everyone is sleep deprived. :)  Our theme this year was "Bug's Life" (any kind of bug, not just the movie characters) and the costumes were awesome yet again (if you'll remember last year's costumes, they were just plain awesome).  The characters of the cast were as follows:

A firefly and walking stick (they looked super cool in the dark!):
Heimlich (aka the caterpillar that is famous for saying "Look at me!  I'm a beautiful butterfly!"-a Wilson family favorite quote) and The Leaf:
The Queen Bee and the Worker Bee:
The Blueberries (the Bug Scout ants on Bug's Life that follow the ladybug around dressed up like the ladybug):
The Black Widow and Dung Beetle:
Flick:
The Tree (home to the bugs on Bug's Life):
Pest Control and the Ladybug:
The whole crazy crew!
Here's our precious little family picture from the Trunk-or-Treat:
Mikayla was getting fussy toward the end of the Trunk-or-Treat so I whipped out a sucker for her.  Let's just say she held on to that thing for dear life and made an absolute sticky nightmare of a mess out of it, but she LOVED it!  What kind of mother am I anyway? ;)
