Daxton's Blessing Day

Daxton's blessing day couldn't have been more perfect.  The Spirit was so strong during the blessing.  He is one amazing baby with a full life ahead of him.  Daxton was a perfect angel and slept all through church.  When we got home we had a fantastic dinner of deep pit pork.  We were surrounded by family and friends.  It truly was perfect.  All day long I was just overwhelmed with gratitude for all the support and endless love we have from family.  We are so blessed.

Get ready for a Daxton picture overload....I couldn't help myself-his white tuxedo was just too darn cute!

Good lookin!

Dustin had just told the girls to go get their grubby clothes on and I (being tired of doing tons of laundry) asked him if that was really necessary.  Dustin was confused thinking I wanted them to wear their good clothes outside, but thought it was hilarious when I explained that I would be so much happier if they just wore undies to get muddy in instead.  Mikayla exchanged her new Hello Kitty undies for old undies and they were good to go.
And in case you should think my kids always love getting their picture taken-this is the way most of the outtakes look.  No one is looking and at least one kid is crying.  Usually more.  Mom just keeps on snapping pictures anyway.

First Smiles

Daxton's first consistent smiles happened at 7 weeks when Mikayla was playing with him.  She was telling him he was "so so handome" and "so selfish" (not sure what she was really meaning to say there) and he melted our hearts with this smile that Dustin caught the tail end of on camera.
He's been smiling and cooing more and more, but it is definitely on his own terms and not super often.  When he wants to he talks up a storm and makes you feel like a million bucks when he smiles for ya.
Love this boy!

We took the tripod out and let it do its thing.
