Our very LONG weekend.

We had a great Memorial Day weekend.  It was long though.  Thursday night we headed to St. David for Dillon's graduation, then back home.  Friday was Mesa for Seth's wedding, then home.  Saturday a reception here in town, then back down to St. David.  Sunday we chilled in St. David, then back home that evening.  Best surprise ever-Mammy and Pappy kept Mikayla for a couple of days!  After Dustin got jobs done in the morning yesterday we got to have an afternoon/evening date!  I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty beat from the weekend and I crashed hard yesterday.  I am so grateful for family knowing just what we need!

Here's my attempt to document the weekend.

Dillon's Graduation
The overly photogenic cousins!
Total cuteness.
The whole crew!
Mikayla and Mammy
Dillon and the older cousins who adore him!

Our little family picture at Seth's wedding
(By the way-3 1/2 weeks til baby!  Yay!)

Back to Mammy's house!
Carpooling!
Funny story: Mikayla crawled in the car and the boys crawled on top for Dustin to push them on a ride.  After the boys were on she immediately folded her arms, closed her eyes and jabbered a prayer, ending with a loud "AMEN!"  It made me laugh so hard.  I guess we'd been on enough little road trips over the course of a few days that she learned that we say a prayer before our road trips.  I was a little bit proud of her!  On the other hand it made me giggle because it really seemed like she was thinking "My life is going to end on this ride so I better say a prayer so I don't die."  They watch and learn better than we think!
After the ride with the boys Mikayla hung out in the car for forever.  Dustin said that she sat in the car, would say her prayer, ending with "Amen", then say "beep, beep" while honking the horn, and end with "Ride. Home.", then be on her way (driving backward of course)-repeating the process over and over again.  She knows the system!
Baking with Aunt Deja

And that's only some of the events!  What a weekend!

No accidental butt calls here.

Nope.  It's all Mikayla.  Just say "hello" a couple of times when you see I'm calling you and nobody answers when you pick up.  She'd love to talk, just give her a minute to warm up.  And, you should probably know that she calls in style.  Here's a visual to keep in mind.

"Ride peese?"

"I've got my money, my purse and my stylish shoes.  Can we please go on a ride, Mom?"
It kind of melted my heart when she whipped out her purse and pulled out her play money to pay at the dollar store.  Oh man, how I love this girl!

Our "Free" Entertainment

I'm not sure what we ever did to keep ourselves entertained before Mikayla came around.  She sure provides a constant source of smiles and laughter.
I told her to say "cheese" so I could take a picture of her with my phone.  Sure-no problem, Mom.  She held up HER play phone and let the cheeses begin.
If her hair isn't enough to make you smile I don't know what else is!
Style.  She's always had lots of it and it just keeps getting better.
Her obsession with stuff.  She just can't let go-literally.
Notice the book they're reading?  She's obsessed with dinosaur or "roar" books lately.  Her Dad has to be completely to blame for that one.  She would have us read to her all day long.
Her newest obsession?  Glasses.  The way she says glasses is amazing-hopefully you can pick it up from the  noisy video.  She's also obsessed with colors right now-she knows them all and tells you what color everything is.  All day long.  Don't mind me saying how cute she is in the video, either.  It happens.
She's become quite the little helper/homemaker.  Yesterday I found her cleaning toilets.  With a napkin and my body spray.  She couldn't have been more proud of herself.  She loves to "nean" (clean) and to "nah-nup" (clean up, like the infamous song says).
She's into baby dolls all of a sudden-it's either absolutely perfect timing or we're going to be in serious trouble when she wants to be the mom to little sister.  We'll see!
She is a riot.  Pictures and videos don't even do her personality justice.  You'll probably just have to come visit us sometime to see what I mean!

Big Accomplishments

It's been a crazy few weeks for the Hancock side and it's not slowing down any time soon!
We made it to Phoenix for some of Dillon's state baseball playoffs and had a great time hanging out with family.  Dillon's team actually went on to become state champs the next weekend!  Of course I forgot to take pictures of the games, but here are some of the other happenings of the weekend.
Pool time!
We went to the mall to find a dress for DeeDee and when we walked out of the dressing room at Ross' Mikayla sat down on the floor, took off her shoes and ran to the shoe racks to start trying on shoes.  She is such a GIRL (have I mentioned that before?!?)!
This past weekend Dustin and I made it down to DeeDee's graduation from EAC.  She just finished the nursing program and we are SO proud of her!

Mom's Day

We had a great Mother's Day around here!  I was spoiled rotten with my favorite thing-FOOD!  Dustin and Mikayla made quite the team and made sure I was very well taken care of!
Breakfast in bed!
Me and the girly who made me a Mama!

Sexy Mama

$1 on a yard sale slide=worth every penny.
For some reason the slide has become her stage.  She stands either on the steps of the slide or the top of the slide and belts out all the songs she knows with everything she's got.  My favorite is when she sings "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam" and stands on top of the slide.  She tries so hard to be really brave while she "jumps" for the "beamp" parts.
Sing it, sister!
