Dog Poop Queen

Maylee has discovered Teddy's poop and kind of loves it.  It's the perfect size for her little hands.  All was fine and good until she started bringing it in the house and eating it.  She came in the house totally traumatized because it tasted so nasty and was trying to wipe it out of her mouth like a mad woman.  All I could do was laugh and take pictures.
Speaking of "traumatized" Mikayla was talking on the phone to my Mom at the end of the driveway a couple days ago and informed my Mom she was having a "traumatized" day (loud enough for the whole neighborhood to hear).  Turns out it was traumatizing because Teddy got into the irrigation and her daughter (Maylee) and Teddy weren't listening to her.  Yikes!

Baby Brother

I had a good ultrasound tech yesterday who was kind enough to show me some extra views of baby boy besides taking the normal measurements that they get each week.  She got this shot and we decided he definitely looks like one of our kiddos!
He's got the Hancock cheeks and nose!  I think he looks a ton like Maylee did.  Here is a picture of her when she was less than an hour old for comparison.
We are getting pretty excited to meet him!

The Tree

We decided Christmas needed to go up early this year-not only because Thanksgiving is so late, but because baby boy is due Christmas Eve and we have no idea what December will look like!  The girls were really into putting ornaments on the tree which made it really fun for me to watch.  Mikayla loves all the "activites" (nativities) around the house and talks about them constantly.  It's going to be a fun Christmas!
Dustin talked Jake into helping us get the tree down when we had everyone over for dinner one evening.  This shot of all the guys and Mikayla under the tree checking out lights makes me pretty happy...

Family Day

Mikayla has been begging to go to the zoo, but we haven't had a single "free" Saturday in forever.  On Saturday we were all home together and when Dustin looked up zoo hours he discovered it was free admission to the zoo that day.  We decided to brave the masses and go and it really wasn't that bad at all.  They were having all kinds of activities for the kids in the park next to the zoo.  We like free!  It was so nice just to be "us" for a day-meaning Dustin was with us to break up the normal routine!

Halloween Festivities

Let me just start by saying that Mikayla assigned costumes to people this year and took the job very seriously.  Any outfits we are seen in is a result of that.  I've got to give it to her-she is creative.  I've got it give credit to everyone else-they are great sports.

We had our Tucson and nearby family members come over for dinner and trick or treating last night and I thought it was a lot of fun.  We had 10 adults to 2 kids trick or treating, but it was fun to have company.  It was especially nice to have help with the girl's costumes!  Our family is so good to us!

Maylee got to be the witch I was when I was little, then Mikayla was a couple years ago.
When we asked Mikayla a couple months ago what she was going to be for Halloween she said a "zebra princess".  She has stuck with it ever since so zebra princess it was!  She was super proud of her costume and she lingered at everyone's door awkwardly longer than she should have just to make sure everyone saw her fanciness.

The loot!  Maylee was happy to get candy period.  Someone would go to hand Mikayla a handful of candy and she would reach into their bowls and grab a Reese's instead of what they were giving her.  What can I say?  She loves her Reese's like her Mom!

Another funny story-my Mom gave Maylee is a tiny little Snickers bar (the little square ones) and over an hour later I was giving her a bath and I found a mouthful of peanuts stashed away.  I didn't know one could melt down a Snickers and leave the nuts like that and I had no idea there could be so many nuts in a tiny candy bar!

Happy Halloween!

I can't get a collage of all the pictures in a row to work right now, but here's all of us in the witch costume that my Aunt Kim made 30 years ago!
