One Month

Mikayla's 4th Birthday

Mikayla has been talking for months about how she wanted her birthday to be at the "Marm" so that's what we did.  Thanks to Grandad and Nana for helping her wish come true!

The night before her birthday she got to open a special present from Grandad.  She had mentioned she wanted a pink teddy bear with legs (since Mrs. Bear has no legs) so one day at the office she and Grandad got "online.com" and ordered the perfect bear.  When she went to open it though she had no clue what is was.  She opened it and said "It's a stuffed animal!  It's a pig!".  We were all dying laughing.  Her bear is now called "Piggy Bear".
That night for her birthday treat she got to sleep with all of her friends.  Usually the limit is two.  She was excited to say the least!
The next morning started off with chocolate muffins for breakfast.
Her cake was a Barbie cake again this year and she was so excited it had "hair to feel", of course.
After that it was time to play until party time.
She requested that we decorate for the party with all her dolls.
Nana and Grandad hit the jackpot at a yard sale and scored a Barbie bike for her.  The boys set up this pink rope and she had to follow the rope to find her bike, which was in the bucket of the backhoe.
Then it was party time!  We had family come over for a fancy dinner of grilled cheese and pink cake per Mikayla's request!
Bless Auntie Maren's heart for coming up with awesome games.
The first was like a cake walk, but when the music stopped the girls got to wear whatever time of costume jewelry they landed on.  It was so cute!
The next game was a scavenger hunt that started with a letter from Princess Belle telling the girls she needed help finding her magic mirror.
The mirror ended up being on "duck island"-covered in goose poop.  Mikayla is very concerned about getting the mirror back to Belle and is planning on taking it to her when/if we get to Disneyland some day.  Mikayla asked Mare Mare how to make the mirror work, but she has to wait and ask Belle how to make the magic happen.
Next it was time for the pinata (another yard sale find!)...nothing like a pinata full of candy for four little gals!
Then presents!
And cake!
A spoiled rotten girl, but a very fun day!
