Easter Weekend

We have it all because we have Him.  I was grateful for this Easter as a reminder of that truth.  My heart melted as I told Mikayla the Easter story once using cut outs from my primary lesson and she retold the story perfectly.  We all need Him, even the youngest of children, and I am grateful for the chance to teach our children about their Savior.  Because of Him we experience the greatest joys this life can offer.

Mikayla has been so excited for Easter for at least a month.  She's been putting up Post-Its with notes for the Easter Bunny for forever.  Saturday night was a sleepless one for an excited little gal!  Maylee was into it on Sunday, but only because there was candy.  She was in full hoarder mode and could've cared less about any of the rest of the festivities.  I love watching the excitement of my kids as they experience the magic of holidays.

Fun Weekend

There seemed to be a ton going on this past weekend and we tried to get to as much of it as we could.

First up was our neighborhood Easter egg hunt and breakfast.  It was really fun and had a great turn out for the first event we've ever had as a neighborhood.  Mikayla was super excited that the "puppet" Easter Bunny was there.  Maylee was terrified.
After that Mikayla got to be a part of the Marana Itty Bitty Open.  She was so excited to go golfing and even more excited about her set of golf clubs!
Then we headed to St. David because DeeDee and Devon were blessing their baby the next day.  Mikayla and Maylee crashed hard on the way there, but played and played with cousins as soon as we got there.
Daxton and Clay are 7 weeks apart.
Baby boy cousins 5 months apart-Gage, Daxton and Clay.
All the Hancock cousins!
This little stinker was taking a nap on Mammy's bed and when I went to check on her she was sitting in the bed enjoying Uncle Bubba's birthday candy all by herself.

Big Boy

Daxton is getting so big so fast.  Just after his 3 month mark we took him into the pediatrician and he was 15 pounds 12 ounces.  I'm not sure how tall he is, but he seems super long.  Each day he gets more and more fun as he interacts more.

Our Other Babette

Mikayla gets in more of the pictures because she'll actually stop moving long enough to snap one.  Maylee, on the other hand, never stops going and is harder to catch.  Her ensembles (or lack thereof) are just as good as Mikayla's most of the time-just a different genre.
