10 Months of Craziness

Little Man is 10 months old.  He is a BOY.  No doubt about it.  He's a stick, rock, ball, cars, trash-diggin', and mud lovin' BOY.  He is so strong and full of energy, but he is content entertaining himself.  If he had the choice he'd be outside every minute of the day.  If someone tries to close the door to his freedom in the great outdoors on him they are sure to hear about it for a while.  There isn't anything that could possibly be gotten into that this kid hasn't discovered, hence his nickname from Mikayla-"Trouble Bubble".  He is still huge and so strong and often goes by "Beast".  At 9 months he was 23 pounds 13 ounces and 29 1/4" tall.  Despite (or maybe because of) all the craziness, he is SO much fun!  His wrinkled, scrunched up happy face keeps me smiling big time.  We love our little Buddy Boo (and yes he will want to kill me someday for that name!)!

Halloween

We got to celebrate Halloween with our cousins this year and the kids loved it.  We did some trick-or-treating in a neighborhood, then we went to a care home to trick-or-treat there.  It was really fun to walk around to each room and see how excited all the residents were to see kids.  Our kids were so tired by the end of the night!

Our Not So happy Anna (who wanted to be a giraffe instead of wearing a silly dress, but refused to put the giraffe jacket on that night), Mischievous Olaf and Drama Queen Elsa.

This lucky lady got to go on a date with her Uncle Bubba to the "beauty spa" to get her hair and nails done for Halloween.  She was so excited about it that she would just randomly start giggling all afternoon.

Visiting Cousins

This past week I took the kids to visit cousins for a few days and they had the time of their lives.  They played outside most of the time and had a blast.  The boy cousins taught our kids all kinds of manly things like "Trick or treat smell my feet.  If you don't I'll show you my underwear and bum" and how to show your muscles and say "arghhhh".  I'm sure my divas taught the boys some awesome girly things as well.  DawnSheree was a good sport putting up with us!

Christmas in October

Another year rolled around and it was time for Christmas in October.  Mikayla had been counting down the days until the party for weeks.  The of the party she prayed "thank you that it could be Christmas in October".  She was so excited!  

We have a lot of fun traditions for the day and it didn't disappoint this year, except for Grandma was sick and didn't make it.   Before the party we hit up the Benson Butterfield Days parade, then it was off to Grandpa's pond for the festivities...homemade rootbeer, green chili burritos, coin hunt in the sand pile, gift exchange for the cousins, white elephant exchange for the adults, service project, pinata, hay rides on Grandad's tractor, and pie to end the evening.  So much fun!

The blue tarps we used for shade made for some very crazy coloring of pictures, but I'm too lazy to change it right now.
