Christmas with little guys is magical. I absolutely love it. This year didn't disappoint. Grandad and Nana slept over so they could be here when our kids wake up before the crack of dawn. It was a nice slow present opening day with lots of breaks to play with toys. The day lasted longer that way and it made me so happy!
We had been working and working on reminding our kids that Christmas is to celebrate Christ's birth. Something must have clicked because on Christmas Eve Mikayla decorated the house with her Christ pictures all on her own. Some of the pictures were on the presents and it seemed a little wrong to move His pictures to open the presents. It was a great reminder sitting up on our TV stand though!
Sticks and a dump truck for Daxton and he was good. He didn't have any desire to open any presents after that!
Doing Grandad's nails and fanning them to dry.
Somebody got her shoe bin from Santa!
Daxton loves fuzzy things and was excited about his new monkey blanket before it was even out of the package.
The girls got matching dolls. Mikayla named hers Sarah and Maylee's attempt at saying Sarah comes out "syrup" so her baby is named Syrup.
Nail art kit!
My Mom gave Maren and I plane tickets for a girl's trip this Spring. We are so, so excited! It was totally unexpected!
The aftermath.
The kids got a trampoline from my parents! They have used it so much already and love it.
Totally awesome and exhausting day!
