Halloween
Halloween with a three day old baby was kind of just thrown together this year. The girls picked out their costumes from things we had around the house, but were stoked about them. Mikayla was a butterfly and Maylee was a flower queen. Thank goodness Mammy came in to save the day and painted their faces and made them feel fabulous! Daxton was an angry cowboy. Ever since Maya was born he has taken up his fit throwing again and it's bad! Dustin and the grandparents took the kids to the trunk-or-treat at the school Halloween night and they had a blast. When they got home Mikayla had planned trick-or-treating for Maya in their bedrooms. They all went to different rooms and Maya and I went trick-or-treating to them. When we went to Daxton's door he would steal candy out of our bag and say "thank you, sir!" It was seriously so much fun and we all got a good laugh from our little trick-or-treating adventure. Thank goodness for kids who help you remember to stop and enjoy life, even when things are absolutely crazy!
Maya Lou
Maya Lou Hancock finally made her arrival at 3:20 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016. She was 8 pounds 14 ounces and 20.5 inches. Throughout my pregnancy with her there were more than a few little "scares" and we were quite anxious for her to get here. Labor was pretty uneventful and she came out crying and as beautiful as can be! We kept joking that after all the stress she put us through during the pregnancy that she better be a good baby and she most definitely is! She is so calm and sweet and we are completely smitten with her. When she looks at you intently with her big blue eyes she completely captivates you and you can't help but fall in love more and more with her. Maya was born with big puppy dog cheeks and a head full of dark brown hair, unlike all our other kiddos who were pretty much bald. Her cuddles are the best in the world and I'm trying so hard to enjoy them as much as I can while she's little. She is amazing!
