Summer morning walk crew...

We were able to sneak away for a long weekend with Dustin's parents at a cabin up in Alpine and it was just the greatest weekend. Mikayla kept saying it was the best vacation ever and I kept wondering why we ever bothered to conquer Disneyland if all she needed was a three night stay at a cabin 4 hours away, but hey-I'm glad my kids are learning to appreciate the simple things in life! We spent our time going on drives looking for elk, going on walks, taking a day trip to the Black River to catch crawdads and fish, having pine cone wars and building pine needle forts, and most of all, enjoying time together with family.

On the way home from Alpine we stopped at the Cat Walk in New Mexico. It was so pretty!
