The 4th!

We got brave and took the girls to Benson overnight for the 4th when Maylee was only a week old.  Not sure how smart that was, but we sure had a good time!

The happening Benson parade was first on the list of activities.
The parade was your typical small town parade until it started DUMPING rain on us and all of a sudden everything got more exciting!
Luckily my Dad had packed this pop-up for "shade" and we were able to stay mostly dry!
It was a LOT of rain!
Warming up in the car after getting soaked...never thought we'd be "cold" in AZ on July 4th!

After the parade we headed back to the "Marm" (farm) for naps, the boys worked on irrigation, then we had a BBQ and fireworks later in the evening.
Our overly brave daughter loving the sparklers.
There weren't any fireworks in Benson because it was too dry (ironic, right?) and the fire risk was too high so these boys put on our own private show and it was pretty impressive!
All pooped out...
