We decided last minute to visit the Marm and see the new pond and Grandad's new cows on Labor Day. When we showed up no one was home and we discovered that everyone was at Grandpa Kartchner's barn working on his headstone project. He and Aunt Kim have quite the system for making headstones for graves that don't have them at the St. David cemetery. It's a pretty cool project.
After that we went back to the Marm and took naps for a bit, then went on a ride to see the cows. After that Grandad whipped out the water trough and let the kids go swimming on the back of the trailer. They loved it! Mikayla thought she was on top of the world (literally) and kept singing "A Whole New World" from Aladdin, as life was "crystal clear when she was WAY up there" on the trailer.
We also snuck over to visit Mammy and Pappy for a bit to complete our little Labor Day adventures.
