Hair

Let's revisit the topic of hair again, shall we?

Mikayla is in this phase right now where she loves to have her hair done. Literally first thing after we leave her room in the morning she starts tugging at her hair saying, "Yeah! Yeah!"-meaning can you please do my hair NOW?!?

The problem is that she pretty much destroys her hair when I lay her down for a nap, if not before then.

I think in her mind it's a sign of rebellion to take out your hair tie and throw it on the ground.

Not really sure what the excitement is about that.

Anyway, the other night after a hair destroying episode during her nap she was begging me to do her hair again. Like any great mom would I told her to go talk to her Dad about it.

I was kind of surprised that he agreed so readily to do her hair.

I should have known...

5-5-2017 Nana-"There's a lot of Cinco de Mayo going on in that store." Maren-"A lot of Bud Light going out of that store." Maylee-"Mostly just bugs. I saw moths and I don't know what bug light is." Nana-"Ummmm...it's bugs that light up in the dark." Maylee-"Oh. I know now!"

12-30-2016 When talking about what a funeral is we tell her it's where people go to pay their respects and say a final goodbye and she added "And to CRY!"
12-29-2016 When Mikayla was teaching her about the resurrection and Maylee said " That's kinda boring that story is."
12-19-2016 When asked what Christmas was about she shouted "SANTA!"
12-17-2016 Singing a goodnight song-"We listen to our mom and dad like Jesus listened to His mom and dad, Mary and Jonah."
12-16-2016 "Mommy and Daddy horses check on their babies by smelling their poop." Grandad asked what they can tell by smelling their poop and she said "I guess you just don't understand about horses, Grandad."
11-30-2016 While in the bath-"Wow the water is warmy and is tickling my bum!"
11-23-2016 "I have to go poops and I fee like it's going to be a really owie one! I felt sad for a little bit, then when it came out I didn't feel sad anymore."

Fall 2014 When she would come tattle about something Mikayla was doing I'd tell her to "nicely ask Sissy to stop." She would go to Mikayla and say "Nicely STOP!"
