When Dustin asked what I wanted for my birthday I told him all I wanted was a nap. Well, I got a nap and so much more! My Mom came about 10:00 a.m. the day before my birthday and gave me a note from Dustin. It told me to grab my wallet and keys and an adventure was about to begin. I was sent on a scavenger hunt starting with getting a drink at Circle K, then to get a pedicure (they were too busy so I got a rain check on that one). After each place I would text him and he'd tell me where in the car my next clue was hidden. Next up were a massage, lunch and I was sent to a hotel. I got a nap, then when Dustin got off work we headed to dinner and to get dessert. We both fell asleep pretty early, but were awakened by a bus load of teenagers about half an hour later. They were up until the wee hours of the morning. We were so frustrated, but oh well.
When we got home the next morning my parents had not only watched the kids for us, but my Mom had cleaned the whole house and made me a birthday cake. I couldn't even believe it. I was so happy and so, so spoiled. I don't think I've ever felt more loved before.
Cake and a lemonade tea party.
Foot massages from my girls!
A happy baby boy for his Mom's birthday.
Mikayla was so excited that it was my birthday so when Maylee went down for a nap Mikayla and I headed out for a girl's date. We went and looked at toys at Wal-Mart and Target, then picked up a pizza and headed home for a pizza picnic in the park. After the kids went down Dustin and I watched Saving Mr. Banks together and loved it. It was the perfect day (until Mikayla threw up everywhere that night, but that's minor in comparison!). I am one lucky gal.
Mikayla said she had a present for me from her purse and this is what she gave me...
I guess even my 4 year old thinks I'm getting old!
