Mikayla was freaking out because she didn't have anything fancy to wear and we were planning on going to a fancy place for lunch. We were going to have a dress for her to wear for lunch to take in the stroller and just decided to let her wear it all day. Then, there was the drama that came because princesses DO NOT wear tennis shoes and we were making her wear them...
We hit up Cars Land first thing and Maylee was in heaven with Mater's Junkyard Jamboree! "Baby tractors!"
Every princess needs a Grandad.
I was so proud of Mikayla for going on the Radiator Springs Racers ride. She did not like it one bit and is happy to inform you of that fact, but she did it. Major success in the braveness department on that one.
All refreshed and ready for our surprise lunch at Ariel's Grotto to meet the princesses! For some reason she puckers up her lips like this (above) and keeps them like that whenever she has lipstick on. Silly girl! We'd heard princesses were really hard to find unless you did the princess lunch so we decided that would be a good use for our Disneyland jar. Our only wish was that we had done it sooner in the week before all the kids were exhausted, but I think it was still a success.
Somehow Nana and Grandad convinced Maylee to put on her princess dress...then she promptly fell asleep just in time to meet Ariel.
I love Mikayla's face in the picture above.
This man was so cute with Daxton and took good care of him!
Maylee wouldn't smile or look for any of the pictures, but Cinderella was determined and got a smile out of her!
All the bathrooms had these shorter sinks for the kids. It was the greatest thing in the world to our kids. We were constantly being told "you gotta go check out this bathroom-it has down low sinks!"
Maylee was cranky so I took off her Merida dress and once she was half naked she was a totally new person. She wouldn't get dressed for anything! It's a wonder I ever get clothes on that girl.
We were spoiled yet again and my parents took the kids back to the hotel while Dustin and I went on some rides. It was so fun having date nights at Disneyland-something we never dreamed we would get to do. My parents are the bestest!
Cars Land was pretty incredible at night.

I have to say that Ariel's Grotto was probably my favorite event. The princesses were amazing and beautiful. (So were the Disney ones.) It was also there that we got the best food of the trip and found out that Cinderella is actually from Phoenix.
