It's the kiddos turn on my favorite things spree.
Here are some of the girls favorite things. They are 4 and 2 and this list is just the "things" they enjoy, but some of their all time favorite activities are reading books, playing in mud and water, arts and crafts, and snuggle parties. This list is just for memories sake or to give ideas for someone looking for them. I put links for almost everything so you could find them easily, but 95% of their toys come from yard sales or are hand-me-downs (rest assured we haven't spent $100 on them!).
My girls spend a good portion of their day pushing their junk around in something. It looks like a used parking lot around here. Their favorites are the shopping cart, wagon and stroller. We look like a circus train walking down the street with everyone pushing their own "vehicle" of some sort.
I found this thing at a yard sale and it was a pleasant surprise. I pulled it out one day and the kids played with it for literally 6 hours straight. They built forts around it, played house and all sorts of things. Daxton has even started pushing buttons and things on it. It's like every kids toy combined into one. It does make lots of noises, though!
Another favorite around here is the play kitchen (Dustin made ours)and play food. We don't have this exact set, but we inherited a lot from my Dearie's classroom and bought some soft food from Ikea.
Tea parties. We have them all the time. Our set like this was given to us, but I think it was purchased at Costco.
Our girls love love love dolls. Maylee prefers my old doll and Mikayla loves "Big Barbies" (these dolls that have kind of a stiffer body). They love to feed them with play bottles, too.
Mikayla loves to dress Barbies. She doesn't necessarily play with them, but will dress them over and over again.
Maylee loves Fisher Price Little People, especially this house. There are lots of buttons to press!
Pretty sure Maylee would live outside by the water table if it was an option. Best purchase ever. We actually got ours at kohls.com when it was on sale and then used a 30% off on top of that.
This was another yard sale find that surprised me how much it has gotten played with. It's huge though. I love the peek-a-blocks that go with it, especially the ABC ones that have helped Mikayla a lot with her letters.
I got this game on a whim and couldn't believe it would be worthy the money, but when it gets a ton of 5 star reviews on Amazon I was convinced enough to try it. It totally seems silly, but the girls both love to play it, especially Mikayla.
And, a couple of Daxton's favorites so far...
